Jill is a certified with The Life Coach School and enjoys helping people move toward their dreams, getting traction when they have been feeling stuck. She loves to help people see that their thoughts are always optional and that ALL feelings can be fun and not so scary. Jill strongly believes when people are given opportunity to do the brain work as well as understand and navigate emotion, there is no telling what they can do.
Jill has been counseling individuals and couples since 1997. She has helped those experiencing challenges related to personal growth, life changes, as well as those who've experienced severe trauma resulting in anxiety, depression and relational discord. She has helped clients examine issues such as purpose and meaning, personal boundaries, underlying fear, and perfectionist thinking.
Approach
Jill's down-to-earth approach eases discomfort. Employing a tender heart and persistent nature, she collaborates with clients to make wanted changes. While being sensitive to one's readiness for change, she's not hesitant to ask tough questions, admitting she has employed the same tactics with challenges in her own life.
Jill routinely works with clients in the following areas:
A native of Jefferson City, Jill returned to her hometown after spending over a decade in the St. Louis and Chicago suburbs. She and Dr. Richard Lillard have two children, Sawyer and Sophie. Jill enjoys podcasts, exercise, and organizing in her spare time. She is the founder of Inspire and The Happiest Wives. Like many working mothers, Jill strives to gracefully balance her profession, community involvement and family.
