Approach to Therapy
Dr. Cooper focuses on Medical Psychology, where she helps clients understand how thoughts and feelings can affect their behaviors and physiological reactions. Specifically, she is interested in trauma reactions on physiological systems. She assists clients in learning healthy lifestyle choices as a coping skill to return to managing daily life demands effectively. As well, she helps them find the balance between body-mind-soul as a way to empowerment. She uses a Gestalt approach coupled with Humanistic theory to allow individuals to feel heard and supported in their journeys toward wellness.
